Survey Analytics

The survey analytics page gives you a detailed view of responses for a specific survey, including response volume over time and a per-question breakdown of how users answered.

Viewing Analytics

Open any survey from Content > Surveys and click the Analytics tab (or the chart icon) to open its analytics view. Use the date range picker at the top to filter results by time period.

Response Overview

MetricDescription
Total ResponsesNumber of survey submissions in the selected date range.
Unique RespondentsNumber of distinct users who submitted at least one response.

Total responses can exceed unique respondents when Display Frequency is set to Every time, allowing a single user to respond multiple times.

Responses Over Time

A time-series chart plots the daily response count across the selected period. Use this view to:

  • Correlate response volume with targeting rule changes or publishing events.
  • Identify drop-off after an initial burst, which can signal survey fatigue.
  • Spot date ranges where responses spiked due to traffic events or campaigns.

Question Breakdown

Each question in the survey appears as its own section, showing:

FieldDescription
Question textThe prompt shown to users.
Question typeThe input type (e.g., Single Choice, Rating, Text).
Total answersHow many individual answers were recorded for this question.
DistributionFor choice, rating, boolean, scale, and dropdown types — a breakdown of answers by value.

Text (open-ended) questions show answer count only; individual text responses are available in the Responses tab or via export.

Exporting Responses

Export individual response records as CSV from the Responses tab on the survey detail page. The export includes:

  • Individual response records with question answers, user identifier, and timestamp.

Use exported data to cross-reference survey feedback with user cohorts in external BI tools.
